Guest guest
Dear Friend: We were living in NY when our premature (twin) son, was little. The main thing right now is to start therapies including physical, occupational and speech therapy. The sooner the better. Have your pediatrician give advice on where to get the therapy. My son had a lot surgeries, therapies, etc., but he was and is brilliant so we didn't have to worry about other challenges. Good luck...let us know how you are doing. Guest guest
There is also CDTC - Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center. They will help with Early Intervention which includes evaluations and therapies at no cost or very minimal for children 0 - 3. They are located on federal highway near Broward General Hospital. Guest guest
I believe early steps might be a good idea... applying for disability with SSI to get the check and Medicaid, therapies are imperitive at this point. I have a lot of background because I have a brother with CP. 2 year old Dx w/ CP ........ where to "start" - Broward County Inquiring for a friend whose 2 y.o. grandson has health and developmental issues and was just Dx w/ CP.
