Both of those agencies are great resources. We can also help as we help advocate for your child with agencies such as Early Steps who serve children from birth to 3. Another agency that can assist you is UCP as they have a grant to assist families with free OT, PT and Speech for kids with developmental disabilities, ages 0-10 and have no insurance. Inquiring for a friend whose 2 y.o. grandson has health and developmental issues and was just Dx w/ CP. Family (single dad) has no idea what or where to begin.

He needs contact w/ very knowledgeable resource person//persons.

I said try CSC Broward and 211.

All ideas welcome.

Also ARC Broward has a program called Parents as Teachers that provides in home

parent training and education and case management as well as parent networking

groups/father group for parents of children with special needs ages birth to 5

(up to 10 if developmentally under 5). Contact Tonya Ricker at ARC Broward
