Guest guest
Greetings! Larry and I cannot make the ville conference this year, although we'd LOVE to come again! Turns out that our only daughter is getting married in Dallas May 3rd, so we'll be a little busy. . . We wish you all a wonderful, productive, warm and caring time together. Larry's doing great. Dr. Chen (UCHSC) did a sphincterotomy and stented him 10/07. Larry didn't need a second stent at Dec.'s ERCP so we're doing a " stent-free trial. " Bloodwork's good, Larry's feeling great and working full time. Can't begin to thank you all enough for last year's conference in Denver! It was overwhelming to a newly-diagnosed patient/doctor and his equally overwhelmed wife/nurse. We got so much out of the information presented at the conference, we've been able to face the last year with more focused energy instead of vague fear. A BIG thank you to all of you who made this peace of mind possible. I read the PSC Support Group emails daily and enjoy getting acquainted with all you courageous and honest writers. I seldom submit responses or requests, but I gather knowledge for the next stretch of our own journey. Can't express how grateful I am for the comfort of knowing when it's our turn to deal with the " harder stuff, " we'll have help. And such compassion! We will think of you all (with some tears!) as Larry walks his daughter down the aisle, remembering that your support helped get him there. Much love to each of you on this path! wife of Larry (PSC 1/07) ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Dear and Larry, Sorry to hear you won't be able to make the conference. Congratulations on the wedding. We hope you have a wonderful time. I get teary eyed just thinking about walking down the isle with my daughter and she's only 14. I can't imagine the happy feeling Larry will feel as he gets to do that this May. All the best to you both. Tarheel Tim
Guest guest
Hi , Thank you for your lovely post. So glad to hear that you found so much support at the conference and within this group, and also that Larry is doing great. Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming marriage! There is nothing to beat that experience, except maybe the grandkids who follow! Sorry you can't make it to the ville conference, but what a great reason for your absence. Best of luck to all of you! Hoping to see you at the 2009 conference.
