Guest guest
Are you looking for a school specifically for autism or an inclusion program? My son is now at the North Miami Montessori school which takes Mckay. It is a typical school, but includes kids on the spectrum. His class has one other child with ASD and one with Down's syndrome, and the rest of the 12 children are typical. We are very happy with the program because it is very hands on learning a lot of sensory and visual learning, and the teacher includes him in everything the class does. He is blossoming academically and socially. You can contact me by email if you have any questions. HTH, Shiri > > My son is 4 and a half years old and will soon be going to kG. Guest guest
My son is 7 and he has attended Nova Blanche Forman since KG. The staff is AMAZING! They LOVE my son and there is also a teacher there whose son is autistic and is in gen ed like my son. They have excellent use of technology...i.e. ipads, ipods, macbooks and such. The cafeteria staff sets aside my son's breakfast/lunch before all the other students get in because they know he only eats certain items and they want him to eat. The teachers love him. I have no major issues with NBF it is an awesome school! ESE department is outstanding and they really care, they want to teach and they make all efforts to assure a comfortable learning environment for my son. They go out of their way to help him. It's great!
