What exactly is an autism endorsement class? Do you get a certification when you complete it?

Autism endorsements are primarily for educators. Teachers need to have certifications added onto their teaching certification to be considered highly qualified. For example, I have a BA in elementary education but I have ESE, ESOL (English to speakers of other languages), middle grades language arts certifications, and I am reading endorsed so I am considered highly qualified to teach any of those areas.
