Just womdering, so many different results with these drugs, mostly cymbalta

verses effexor, I ended up with the effexor, and quickly started losing weight,

I really don't need to lose any just the lingering roll that needs tightening,

wish it could do that LOL, withoug exercise, but anyway, the effexor was the

weight loss pill to me, I started taking it at night because I was afraid I was

going to put on weight, dispite the Dr, telling me this is one known to have

less chance of this, my Rhumie told me when I mentioned the fear of gaining wt.

on these types of med's. she said just don't eat. I did not think that this is

what caused the wt gain. So for those out there that have put on wt, is it

because u find your appetite increases, or the wt just comes on for unknow

reason, slows metabolisiom or ?? And the second ? is, what does the withdrawels

from these med's feel like? As I wonder what will happen if insurance's aren't

covering anymore, because I can't afford

to pay for it to expensive and I want to be prepared, though I did stop the

effexor once already, felt some strange feeling for alwhile more like angry

inside, wanted to screan off the edge of a cliff etc. Any insight will help me

with understanding what people can go through. I know of someone who takes this

p.r.n which surprises me. Thanks Sharon

for about 6-8 months, I ran out last month as I didn't

have the money to get it filled, (60 mg) I had alot of samples of Effexor and

just

switched over to that and had no problems. I went back on the Cymbalta as

my insurance went into effect last week and I am already a different person.

I am not wanting to kill anyone and i don't think anyone wants to kill me (at

least

today anyway)LOL I have lost 15lbs in the time I have been taking it and while I

was

off on the Effexor I could eat the kitchen sink. I have lost 120lbs in a little

over a

year.

HI!!

I've been on Cymbaltafor 4 years. It does not help with my pain at all. I gained

over 30 lbs on it. I have tried to come off it several times (very slowly) and

have experienced severe withdrawal. This is a HUGE problem with Cymbalta. I wish

I had never gone on it. All the horror stories you have seen online about it are

true. I will probably have to stay on it the rest of my life. And it's very

expensive. I would try and see if there was anyway to control the weight gain

and stay on Lyrica.

I just went off Cymbalta Cold Turkey, and it was awful. I was having really bad

symptoms. Feeling jittering shaking, irritable. Felt like my insides were

being electrically shocked every time I moved. They put me on a low dose of

Prozac 10 mg, and it is going away.

Sharon - Your description of anger from withdrawing on Effexor is exactly what

happened with me. I had to drive somewhere in the rain, which I hate doing, so

I got very upset, then very angry, and seriously thought about crashing the car

on purpose. I ended up on the psych floor that night. But as soon as they put

me back on the Effexor, I returned back to my normal frame of mind. Please

don't go off cold turkey again. If you're running out, start using half doses

and do whatever you can to get more or something else. Take care.
