20 year old unvaccinated girl trying to enter Nursing Program at UCF

My 20 year old daughter is attending UCF college and wants to enter the nursing program. She told me that there is a list of vaccines that the student is required to have before they are allowed to be in the nursing program. I told her that we claim religious exemption, and she told me that the nursing program will not admit her without the vaccines. Has anyone else heard of such a thing?

No! Do you have the big blue permanent exemption form from the Health Department? I just got this do that the public school would be satisfied. Maybe get some legal advice I believe if you have that document they can't keep you out but maybe it had something to do with working with the patient!Good luck!Sent from my iPhone

She enrolled in college with the waiver, I'll call today to see if she can enter the Nursing Program that way, however she's telling me that she won't be allowed to be in the nursing program without being vaccinated. Yes. The medical school I used to work at has the same requirement. The

unvaccinated are considered a patient care risk.

I asked my neighbor who recently began Broward College's nursing program and she had to be revaccinated to be admitted/start the program and has to have flu shots to do the in hospital learning piece of her program. She is not sure if one or two shots is needed but it may be two due to requirements.
