Re: 's update for Monday

Argh on the leaky roof. I feel for ya, hon. Been there done that when

living on the sailboat. Every single port leaked like a seive when we

bought her. And the overhead hatches. A friend and I worked

tirelessly for about a week taping, painting with rubber-base marine

paint, then caulking with sikka-flex. Got the ports fairly well

sealed. Now just the two hatches leak, one being over the berth in

the forward cabin. I'm not happy about my other half not getting out

there and fixing the hatches, believe me. I refuse to go back onboard

permanently unless he provides reasonable living accommodations for

me. No wet beds, refrigeration, general creature comforts. I want the

water heater hooked up so I don't have to fish a cord out from under

the sink in the head to plug in and heat water. Not fun!

Anyhow, raining furiously here also. I just closed all the windows as

the temp is dropping like crazy. The weatherman is only about 10

degrees off on the forecast at the moment. Refuse to turn the heat

on. Just put on a sweatshirt, have a blanket over me right now. When

I get moving here it won't feel cold, I'm sure. Cleaning up on Monday

after the DH being home all weekend is always a majore amount of

work. He's a chain smoker and drops ashes everywhere. Eats (grazes)

all weekend long, and acts like I'm here to serve, lol. He likes to

eat every two hours when he's home. Of course, my waistline can't

take that. I'm good for two meals a day usually, just average

portions. Yet the pounds keep packing on. Go figure.

So my life is a boring one today, lol. DH took the car I usually

drive, as the top is leaking on the one he drives. But I've nowhere I

must go today anyhow, which is good.
