i feel sorry for you gina! i had this when i was pregnant with rowan. it felt

like someone had stuck a knife in my side. there were mornings when i would lay

in bed crying because i had to pee so badly it hurt but i knew it would hurt to

get out of bed more. i know there is some kind of brace you can wear to help, i

didn't but i have heard of people who did. take care.

Oh, no! That is the worst! Mine was bothering me so much last night that

my family thought I was going into labor.

Does anyone know what can be done to relieve sciatica?

Hugs!

What is sciatica? Is that where your leg goes numb? I had that with

all 3 kids, if I sat down or layed down and pushed the baby away from

the " bad " leg, that helped, I guess the baby sits on a nerve.

Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!

I stubbed my toe last year and it 'popped' the nail off of the nail bed.

When I went to the podiatrist (at a teaching school) the student doctor made

the comment that the nail was only attached along the edge and that " the

nail could just be yanked right off! "

I told her that while I wasn't aware of what they were trained regarding

communicating with patients... phrases containing 'nail' and 'yanked right

off' were probably not condusive to making a patient feel comfortable! ;-)

Hate toenail issues! Hope the ibuprofin works!

Angelia,

I'm sorry about your ingrown toenail. I had 6 of them removed a

number of years back. And the reason I say 6 is b/c that stuff

that they put on the nailbed to try and keep it from growing

back didn't do any good. It still kept growing back. That's

why I had 6 of them. I haven't had anymore problems since.

I hope you have better success with that stuff keeping the thing

from growing back than I did.

After battling bronchitis since November and finally able to breathe

normally I get the worst flare I have ever had. I feel like someone

has beaten me with a baseball bat from my shoulders to my knees. I

just want to lay down and cry. There is just so much I have to do. Go

to the store, dishes, laundry, clean house, take care of the kids cook

dinner and then go to work tonight. Someone cry for me cause I don't

have time. Paste a smile on my face and go on with life. Such as it

is.

Laugh and the world laughs with you, Cry and find out how alone you

really are.

Doreen, I understand. I hate the " beaten up all over " feeling. If we had the

physical bruises to go with it... then we would be believed. I guess it is hard

for others to fathom feeling like we were truly beaten with a bat or a board and

have no marks to show it.

I hope it lets up soon. I know what it is to have to face the day with all its

tasks feeling like you should be in bed.

Yep, and it seems that one thing leads to another with this crap. I have

noticed that since my respiratory infection the pain has let up a little in the

usual spots. But I suppose when that is over with my body will start hurting

again.

hugs,

Debra V.

Oh, Doreen, I can certainly appreciate having bronchitis for that

long but at least I was in high school and did not have fibro, but

those pains from the bronchitis are so bad! I have a question for

you --- do you get bronchitis very often? I only ask because I have

not had a bout in years and back when I was in high school and had

spent several falls/winters with some kind of lung problem and, while

I know medicine has changed a great deal since the 1960's, my

father's boss said to him " let's send her to a specialist and see if

they can find out why this keeps happening! " I did spend a week in a

major midwestern hospital and they did reach several conclusions and

I have not had a really bad bout with any kind of upper respirtory

problem in 10 years. (but I also think my problems were partly

because, living in So. Illinois, everyone or most everyone heated

with coal, so I was breathing the dust at home, at school and at

church and then after moving from Chicago at 40, I have seldom had

such problems.)

But I do find it interesting that several people here have had really

bad bouts of bronchitis, but then there is the added factor for me

that I am not out in the public working any more.

But I can remember those horrible feelings! My doctor's

receptionist, who was his sister, told me one day that I spent more

time lying on one of the couch's in his waiting room than in school!

I hope you will not have a long lasting flare with the fibro.

Take Care!

Same goes for you, also, Debra!

Hi Doreen, sounds like what I was going thru a few days ago, without the kids!

My kid is my hubby and my puppy! Yes, just keep going and going! But I am with

you on the no time to cry business! I have no time either!
