OPEN ENROLLMENT SFACS is now accepting KINDERGARTEN applications for the 2012 - 2013 school year OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD: Feb. 1 to April 1, 2012 KINDERGARTEN LOTTERY DRAWING: Friday, April 13, 2012 at 5:00 pm SFACS will serve Kindergarten - 11th grade for the 2012- 2013 school year – applications for students currently enrolled in Kindergarten - 10th grade can be submitted at any time. (Students residing in Broward County are eligible to apply - SFACS is located one mile from the 138th Street exit off I-75) ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: ◠Student must be diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) ◠Student must have a public school IEP reflecting eligibility for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) services and placement ◠Student must be on a modified curriculum – we cannot enroll students who are on a general education curriculum In addition, the student must fall within one or more of the following categories: ◠Student has behavioral difficulties ◠Student has communication deficits ◠Student requires training in self-help skills TO APPLY: Visit our website to download an Enrollment Application, or you may request an application in our office. Complete the Enrollment Application and submit it with a copy of your child’s most recent public school IEP. You may submit these documents by mail, or hand deliver in person. Skinner’s Theory of Applied Behavioral Analysis are applied in conjunction with Florida Sunshine State standards for students on a modified curriculum in order to provide the most effective individualized educational programs possible.
