Guest guest
Does this study provide more answers or raise more questions? http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2011/11/08/new-study-suggests-autism-starts-in-the-womb/?hpt=hp_t2 OK, now 7 (affected) boys aged 2 to 16 years... You know, thousands of children have had relief from dietary restriction and the AAP says we need more study. Here are SEVEN very different age children and it's "an important finding". Really? Does the study help answer the question of whether this is a whole body disorder that affects the brain or a brain disorder that affects development? Absolutely not. The increase in brain weight could not be accounted for solely by the increase in neurons. Hmm, maybe it's the inflammation that is causing that finding. Maybe inflammation is causing more neurons to be stimulated. The reason that I am going on here, is because I believe that this is an example of how conventional science WANTS to make ASD appear as a predetermined disorder, not a consequence of external factors. There are lots of studies describing lots of abnormalities in different areas of the brain. There is a lot more to be done. -- D.
