My daughter was so allergic to mosquito bites at a young age also - she would welt up and turn purple at the bites that it looked like she broke something. Anyway, I had to give her a small dose of liquid benedryl (I know, I know - not homeopathic) with the dr's approval and it helped tremendously. I also engaged her in other sensory play - heavy work ie: building block towers, sand castles etc to get her mind off of it. Calamine lotion helped also. To: sList Sent: Wednesday, August 17, 2011 1:35 PMSubject: Re: Picking on her mosquito bites - help! You could try washing the bites well with soap and water and then try putting aloe vera gel that contains lidocaine on the bites (usually sold with the sunburn relief products). This will help to heal the bites and control the itch. Glenda > > Hi everyone, > > My daughter has been picking on her mosquito bites. I've tried to put band-aids, and long pants, however as soon as we are not looking (it only takes a couple of seconds) she picks them and bleeds them and starts playing with her blood. (I know it sounds gross!) Also one of the the things that concerns me the most is that she might get some scars if she continues like this. Has anybody gone through something like this? Any advise is greatly appreciated! > > Regards, > > >
Guest guest
You're so welcome. To this day I still spray her with skintastic in the morning. :)To: "sList " <sList >Sent: Monday, August 22, 2011 3:31 PMSubject: Re: Re: Picking on her mosquito bites - help! Trying your advise!
