CARA DOESN'T HAVE HER GALLBLADDER ANYMORE . IT SEEMS AS IF HER JAINDICE WORSENS OR GETS BETTER FROM DAY TO DAY. IT MAY LOOK WORSE ONE DAY AND THEN A FEW DAYS LATER MUCH BETTER. Guest guest
I think it can, but first of all, is she getting enough water (no caffeinated drinks)? This could be indicative of sludgy bile flow, which might give the same symptoms. Also, a low fat diet is generally recommended for those with a cholecystectomy. The body attempts to handle a high fat diet with increased bile, which breaks down the fat to a digestible form. She should be shooting for 30 gms fat/day - it's not hard if you know what foods contain. For example, a Culver's " short " chocolate malt contains 36 gms of fat and a whopping 738 calories!!!!! (http://culvers.com/NutritionalInformation/ChoiceCalculatorResults.aspx?IdMenuItem=3). That's a whole day's + of fat and 1/3 of my calories for the day!
