Guest guest
So even with McKay it was $27,000?!?To: "sList " <sList >Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 8:14 AMSubject: Re: Kentwood and McKay I also spoke with them and the director told me don't worry you will be fine. I met with them and then they wanted to meet my daughter and she was excited and loved it, and then....they sent me to the business office! It's almost $27,000 not including reg fee, book fee, uniforms(another $1,500) I think, after I saw the tuition I kind of blacked out. It looks like a great place but I was upset at the wAy they drew us in especially my daughter. They offer financial aid but it's still very expensive. Guest guest
The mckay is a reduction to the quoted price. The mckay amount depends on tour child's matrix number. You should be given the matrix number at each IEP meeting. Hope that helps Jean Eccleston Sent from my Samsung Captivate on AT & T Sharon Wilpon wrote: >So even with McKay it was $27,000?!? > > > >________________________________ > >To: " sList " <sList > >Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 8:14 AM >Subject: Re: Kentwood and McKay > > >Â >I also spoke with them and the director told me don't worry you will be fine. If you don't know what the price is before McKay, how do you compare prices? To: sList Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 11:39 AMSubject: Re: Re: Kentwood and McKay The mckay is a reduction to the quoted price. Guest guest
That's ridiculous, every school has a list of prices per grade. If there are scholarships available or any other financial help, that's another story. But they should be able to give you a base price.Very, very odd...is this the place on University Dr, near Baudhuin?Sent via BlackBerry from T-MobileSender: sList Date: Thu, 10 Nov 2011 11:45:44 -0800 (PST)To: sList <sList >ReplyTo: sList Subject: Re: Re: Kentwood and McKay That's the problem, my friend can't get a quoted price. Guest guest
They should, but they won't until you schedule a tour...very bizarre. To: sList Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 2:56 PMSubject: Re: Re: Kentwood and McKay Kentwood should be able to provide price before any scholarship.Sent from my BlackBerry® on the MetroPCS Network Sender: sList Date: Thu, 10 Nov 2011 11:45:44 -0800 (PST)To: sList <sList >ReplyTo: sList Subject: Re: Re: Kentwood and McKay That's the problem, my friend can't get a quoted price. Guest guest
Probably they do this for marketing purposes and that is fine.Thew truth is that as parents it is always best to go to the place and experience how it looks, how it feels, what is they show, how are the other children there, if they seem happy, etc, nothing can replace the actual experience there. And this with anything. And our children are the termometers themselves for this. Not only with Kentwood. With any other place where we will leave our child. So I would suggest, go without thinking about price and experience. If your friend feels that is the place in her guts... It will happen. But she gets to go and feel it herself.Same with other schools she might be considering.I hope this encourages her! I have been there, and I understand her.And I suggest just go and feel it!All the other stuff will come into place afterwards. I just thought it weird when you look on their website or call them, they won't give you a base price. Thanks to everyone for all your input! To: "sList " <sList >Sent: Thursday, November 10, 2011 7:04 PMSubject:Re: Re: Kentwood and McKay I hate to say this but maybe they adjust the price based on McKay. For example if your child has a high matrix number then they take those funds in consideration and turn around and quote you x amount so that what comes out of your pocket may be the same as what comes from another child's parents pocket even if they have a lower matrix amount?
