Guest guest
Trudi, Starting in about April I have had a simular problem. My pcp gave me Prevacid which is an Acid Reflux med. He told me that stress makes my stomach produce too much acid. I have been on that med for about 3-4 mos and dong better. I still get sick after eating but the frequency is less. Does the heat bother you? When my body gets hot, I also start to get sick. Julila > Hey all, > Wanted to find out if anyone feel's nauseated after eating. Guest guest
Nausea is very common for me, both with UC and PSC. This past year the nausea has been unbearable (due to PSC since UC has mostly been under control). I was taking compazine but they switched me to Zofran when the other stopped working. Now, I find that the 4mg. of zofran doesn't always cut it, either. I'm sorry you're dealing with this, it is one of the worst symptoms for me to deal with! Guest guest
It probably wouldn't hurt to talk to your doctor about this, because you might need an Rx anyway. I see that two other people have mentioned that compazine doesn't work. I agree -- neither does phenergan as far as I am concerned. Zofran works well for me. I had a bout of labrynthitis and the nausea was dreadful. I got pretty good results using slivers of crystallized ginger from the grocery store. I also brewed ginger tea -- just hot water and powdered ginger to taste. Just sip it. Penny > Is Nausea a common thing to experience with PSC? Guest guest
but now I am light headed and nauseated almost all of the time. >>>My experience with nausea and light headedness has been when I have been dehydrated. Getting my fluids back up to a better level caused these symptoms to disappear. This might not apply to your situation but I just wanted to add my 2 cents. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply Barby, I really do try to stay hydrated. I'll try drinking more and hopefully that will help a bit. > > but now I am light headed and > nauseated almost all of the time. >>> > > My experience with nausea and light headedness has been when I have been dehydrated. Guest guest
I've started brewing tea with fresh ginger and it helps to settle the nausea for a time. I'm seeing my Hep.Specialist on the 18th and will discuss the different meds. with her. Thanks for everyones input.
