Guest guest
I agree with Melinda. The gene test can tell you if you have the Celiac gene and if you have the Gluten Sensitivity gene. If you have both that means you inherited one from each parent. In fact I think you can have two of the same gene which also means you inherited from both parents. You can only inherit one from each parent. If you have two genes it can mean that you have the potential for being twice as ill. If you have children it is a good idea to know as much as possible about this. Everything is about genes. This test can also tell you if you have the gene/genes even if you aren't making antibodies to gluten which can mean I believe that at some point in time you can start having this autoimmune reaction even if no antibodies are being formed at the present time. In fact if you could have the yeast sensitivity test it would be great as it does a lot of damage when one is sensitive to yeast. If any of these tests are positive you are learning a lot about yourself. They are wonderful tests. Guest guest
Charmaine, I had gluten related vulva irritation plus was diagnosed with Lichen Sclerosis? but I also had the GI symptoms. However, many people do not have the stereotypical GI symptoms so I wouldn't let that stop you. They might just have skin rash or lesions or neuropathy or any number of autoimmune diseases and no standard well known stereotypical symptoms at all. Strange disease.
