Guest guest
Thanks for explaining in more detail, Marla. I'm glad the injections helped you. I will keep them in mind if I get really desperate. I'm leery about them, because when I was in labor with my second daughter, they tried to give me a spinal(for a C-section) and could not insert the needle successfully. I wondered if it was because I already one disc quite degenerated at that time. I had chosen the spinal over an epidural because they said it was a smaller needle. But after a half hour of them poking me, and being in labor at the same time, I was in tears, so I just told them to give up and to give me general anesthesia for the surgery. So I was asleep for both of my girls' births. Oh well, such is life. I sure hope you get over your strep throat soon. And yes, I remember nne nnaDanna! Those first years of SNL were the best. Jeanne in WI I have ddd, 3 herniated discs, two which are old injuries (I am 62 years old) and the third just a couple of years old. I also have a 11 % scoliosis, arthritis, osteoarthritis, stenosis. I had 9 epidurals in 18 months until my pain doctor retired and no one else would give me one, saying I had way too many. Now this young doctor, trained at the Mayo Clinic, suggested facet injections. He also said they had about a 50/50 chance they would help but luckily they have and believe or not with all else that is wrong, I can feel a difference. Some of the achy pain I thought was fibro must have been spinal arthiritis-whatever-a liittle relief sometime, somewhere is always welcome. Now I have a strep infection in my throat so I feel a little like nna nnaDanna!!!!! (The oldies but goodies will remember her-LOL. Gentle Hugs, Marla
