Guest guest
Hi Nina - Welcome to our FaMily. Everything you describe sounds very familiar. I had symptoms as a child also, mostly stomach aches, some IBS, and I got the reputation in the nurse's office that I was an " attention seeker. " I had psych problems, too, like depression and anxiety, but it was the 70's so no one talked about mental illness and especially not in kids. As far as the dream thing goes, the only thing I've had that's a bit similar is dreaming that I have to pee, because I really do have to pee. LOL! I imagine your body pain is sending the same type of signal to your dreamscape as well. Jeanne in WI
Guest guest
For me it was " mild " (i suppose in relative terms hah) as a child, it only kicked my butt when i was already sick(the best time right??)... so i thought it was something weird i did when ill was all. I was diagnosed ADHD as a yuong child but my parents thankfully refused to let them put me on Ridalin(this was right at the ADHD boom when everyone was suddenly ADHD), then depressed as a teen, and as an adult they said oh thats the most common misdiagnosis, and you have bipolar. And I may have it, I dont know, there are certainly times when my moods are bad, and I had a period where i was what they were considering rapid cycling.. But my therapist was always amazed at me cause she said even when i was having the most horrible depression, i wasnt a 'normal' bipolar patient and she couldn't ever really describe it past there. So the official diagnosis is still Bipolar 1, but unlike most bipolars, I dont take anything for it, and it flares up when... *drumroll* i'm under massive stress, go figure. I know some about fibro, alot about migraines and sinus issues etc, but not nessecarily their connection all together with fibro, nor the connection of mental disorders or depression etc to fibro, this is all relatively new territory to me. And the dream is about what i figured..I used to have the " ive gotta pee " dream too. I think thats a normal one lol. I learned to recognize mine because it was always in our old original house even after we had moved, even years later.. I somewhat hope that this doesnt become a recurrant dream of my mind going " hey, this can be why I hurt! " ... ahhh no. I tend to dream very detailed when i remember them. Gotta love the unconscious mind sometimes, right. -Nina > Hi Nina - Welcome to our FaMily. Everything you describe sounds very > familiar.
