Guest guest Posted January 8, 2008 Report Share Posted January 8, 2008 I met my new GI yesterday -- she is wonderful. She actually listened to me! My previous doctor was technically proficient, but rarely listened to me and, after 10 years, knew less about me and my family than this woman knew in 1/2 an hour. After all, we are people first, patients second. Considering the fact(s) that I had 5 bad or life-threatening outcomes with procedures done by the previous GI, this woman is a welcome relief. Jeez, I don't think I'll have to get my financial and legal affairs in order before she touches me. I was a mess in anticipation of the appointment. If any of you are unhappy with a doctor because of lack of communication or otherwise, I would strongly recommend looking for a new doctor you can work with.
