It is her opinion that doctors who do them frequently have the best expertise in that area and she wouldn't be doing enough to maintain the level of skill that she would be comfortable with. Having had two disastrous ERCPs, I will not have another unless it's clearly needed to save my life. The risk vs. benefit for me helped me make that decision with the help of my primary care doctor.
