Guest guest
Debra, Do you have short and/or long-term disability available to you thru your job? If you do, your doctor should be able and willing to put you on disability (so you get a paycheck) and then keep you on it so it eventually switches to LTD while you do the SSD fight. You should be eligible for FMLA protection too perhaps, although that does run out and there's no guarantee that they would " keep " your job. That's how it all started for me - short-term disability due to my asthma/allergies.....then went to LTD and am now embroiled in the SSD process (2 denials, attorney has filed for a hearing). It's something you might want to explore. I know that my LTD payment isn't 100% of what my salary was ***however*** I also do not have childcare any longer, nor the added gas expense of driving back and forth to work or the clothing expense - you get the idea. Hope some or all of this works for you. I think that trying to continue to work is hurting you more than helping you in the big picture. ((((Hugs))))) Darlene > > > > Well group, don't know where else to vent about this. I just > wanted to touch base and gripe a little bit. I am finding that it is > harder and harder to work now. Guest guest
You may be able to get Paid Family Leave it will supply you 6 weeks of money to help you out. I got $249 a week. I am now on State Disability and I am in the Fight for SSI and SDI. Then your doctor can put you on State Disability like they did me and you can get the same ammount all based on your earnings. All you need is a note from your doctor saying that you are disabled and you can recieve it up to 1 year, while you are in the fight for SSI and SDI. Good Luck!
