I can not reply to any of the posts I get from your list serve. Not sure why- it's probably operator error- but I was hoping you could post my "reply" for me. Thank you for having this group. It's great when something of a national level is discussed here. I appreciate the opportunity to read the other parents' comments.

I enjoy reading all of your comments. I'm thankful to have this list serve where people voice their thoughts, opinions and questions.

I do not think that any of us can say that there is any therapy or diet that 100% helps our children. All of our children on the spectrum - I think- are there due to a unique combination of variables. Genetics, vaccinations, environmental, mixed with any number of other variables- diet, overall health or sickness like cold, flu, or virus etc, makes for a huge possible mix. Likewise I think that with that being said it will take the same type mix to help our children. ABA therapy is proven to be effective, but so have supplements, diet, chelation, hyperbaric chambers, early intervention etc. And I believe it is the right combination for your specific child at a specific time of his/her life. Also knowing and being willing to change is important. The gfcf diet helped my son greatly when he was younger, now it has little effect on him if any....

I just want to say thank you for all of your comments and to remind us all that there is not right or wrong here- just what doing what is best for our children. If all the brainiacs in the world haven't figured out what to do to "cure" Autism or even what causes it, then I am confident that I am in good company. We are all in this together and need to help and uplift our comrades.
