Guest guest
Hi, I'm so glad that I found this group. I've been searching for the right group for about three months. I've had Lupus since 1985 and was diagnosed with Fibro shortly afterwards. As I have gotten older, the fibro has gone crazy (LOL), I'm hurting in places that I didn't know existed. (smile) About two months ago, I had the worst flare up in my life (lupus, fibro and siatic nerve). I thought I was going out of my mind, but thanks to God I made it through. At the moment I'm still experiencing some pain, but my main issue is, that I stay HOT all the time. I'm through with menopause, so I'm asking is it fibro? Peace and Blessings Vonn
Guest guest
I'm not going thru menopause and I'm hot when everyone else is cold and vice versa. My docs think it is probably the meds; but could also be the fibro. I know that's not an answer, but it's hard to separate causes sometimes. Guest guest
Hi Vonn, I'm glad you found this group too. I think you will like it here. There are a lot of very nice people who know a lot and are very supportive. We are like a big family. I was dx in 1991, after several years of trying to find out what was wrong with me. I too have several other illnesses, as do many others on this site. It seems to run with fibromyalgia. I too am way past menopause and have a bad time with being hot. Particularly late afternoon to evening and night. I can be cold in the daytime and then be hot in the evening with no change in temperature. Like now I have shed my layers of sweater and sweatpants, socks and warm slippers to T shirt and lightweight pants and bare feet. It goes on like this most days. I can get hot in the daytime too, but not as ofter in winter. I sleep with a fan on and a air processor and lots of times the window open a little too. I wear one of those sleep camisoles to bed. So all of this is to say that I know what you are going through - and it's not all that uncommon with fibromyalgia, and some other illnesses I have. 'm sorry you are going through this too as I know it is a real pain. I hope you find this group to be as loving and helpful as I have. I look forward to getting to know you.
