Hi You can apply for disability now, as it takes so long to get the whole

thing going, but if you apply now before the move, as they will just transfer

everything to your move, the sooner you get applied the less wait, as you have a

bunch of papers to fill out, I just recently applied so I know this. My

doctor's have not turned in though yet as I am behind on seeing them and last

time I saw them in Sept, I was working and not this bad. I do belive for SSD

you have to have worked, as the money comes from our prior earnings, whether you

would not be eligible because you have not worked in 4yrs may differ from state

to state, if you were home due to part of illness may be ok. But just call the

800# and they will ask ? and they will tellu right there whethe you qualify or

not. Good Luck, and once you have applied it is hurry up and wait. If u hire a

atty. I have got Binder and Binder which I think Angie also has contacted but

most atty don't cost until you get approved

and pd. they take a fee 25% I think of your first retro check. You could be

elligible for SSI if non work has u not quialify but u can not own any assest of

any kind totalling more then 3000. Take Care Sharonhet

start the disability process or should I wait til I get back to AZ.?

Is it best to have a lawyer? How much does it typically cost? Also,

I was told that I would not be able to apply for disability cuz I have

not worked within the past 4 years (I've been a stay-at-home). My

kids are now 5 and I nedd to go back to work, but I am to crippled to

work. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
