Guest guest
Great post Mollie.Coffee does a number on me too! Too bad doctors don't tell us this stuff. We have to figure it out for ourselves. Amazing how "NOT" drinking something can lower our pain levels. BlueeberriPsssst...Have you heard the news? Guest guest
Hello all: I rarely post but I come here from time to time and read the great info here. I used to be a regular poster. I've had vulvodynia since May, 2005 but was diagnosed with Lyme in 2006 so I've been concentrating on treating my Lyme. V pain is a symptom of Lyme so I am hopeful that I can beat this as I heal my Lyme (which is a very long process for me because I think I've had Lyme for 30 years) anyway... when I first had VV my pain level was a 10. I was in a fetal position by 6:00 pm in intense pain. Since I've made dietary changes I've significantly lowered my pain (and my daily heartburn). I work very hard to eat more alkaline (more fruits, veggies and some nuts) and less acidic foods (meat, grains and NO sugar or processed foods). Coffee is SO acidic but I've found a miracle in Cold Brewed coffee. The DAY I went to low acid coffee my symptoms improved. I used to drink coffee and espresso all day long. Now I cold brew my coffee in a coffee toddy (can be purchased at Amazon.com). I use organic beans and use more decaf than caf and only drink one (very large) cup per day. Another source is: http://coolbrew.com/index.html It looks very expensive but it's concentrated so it lasts a long time. It's the most delicious coffee you will ever drink. I am a coffee snob and now I won't drink anything else. Take care all. Wishing you all pain free days. Molly
