So I did have cholangitis again...

I posted before Christmas about it but have been so sick I just

haven't been back online. I really sincerely appreciate ALL of you

guys. I posted about having chills but no fever and other symptoms.

This is how it played out...

Sunday 12/23 chills again all day, no fever

Monday 12/24 felt crummy and noticed very pale stools

Thursday 12/27 slept allllllll day, so tired!

Friday 12/28 I was so itchy that my husband couldn't even hug me and

it was hard to nurse my babies because anyone touching me would set

it off. But still I had no fever so I thought I was okay.

Saturday/Sunday at 3am I woke up with 103 fever and immediately

started taking the urso. It didn't really help much and Tuesday

afternoon I was admitted to the hosptial for iv antibiotics and

stuff and the rest is history. It was scary!

I appreciate your guys' input. I wish I'd taken the cipro sooner

but oh well, I learned. What a way to ring in the new year, huh. :-

) I've talked with my hepa and have started keeping a daily (or

every other day) journal of my symptoms. This way I can see another

infection coming.

Hi Mellssa

Good to hear your update, I had seen you had not posted over the

holidays but hoped you were too busy.... well you were busy, but not in

a very good way. I have been there done that I too and I certainly am

very aware of symptosm that may signal another infection.

My Doc advised that if I have a temp above 101 with chills I am going

to have to go to the ER. If I am on a trip I will start a 7 day antibi

of Augmentin 125mg.

My dock also told me that tylenal just to not the chills down real

quick and it works. But you are correct you can not take to many.
