Guest guest
Pain Clinic's evaluate your pain issue's, and if they feel it is legite, they will prescribe pain med's, you usually have to sign some type of contract agreeing to only take so many pills per mo. and they may make you submit to urine test randomly or bring in your pills to make sure u are not abusing them. They though if you are having to pay, usually won't take you as a patient unless you pay up front, and all of it, quite exspensive!!! It is just a strict drug facility, and depending on where u go there can be a waiting period of 2mo out. Can you not seek a primary dr who will continue treating you, would be cheaper. Hope you find help, as it is not fun to be in pain and not have the right meds. take care Sharon Has any one in this group gone to pain management clinic? My orthopedic surgeon has refered me, as the clinic i go to refuses to see me because we owe to much money on a bill, I tried to explain to these idiots, that I lost my job back in Aug, and we are living on 1 income, and not only do i have medical issues but so does my husband, they don't care, So my ortho dr i guess is tired of refilling my vicodine , so now we refered me to this guy, what exactly do they do while you are there? please let me know as I'm getting nervious thanks so much hugs to you all Leanne
Guest guest
The pain clinic I go to does NOT prescribe drugs, rather they help you figure out ways of lessenging the pain through relaxation, massage, exercise or injections like I had the other day. They also do other things, but so far this is what I've actually seen there. I was told up front they do not prescribe meds, though. --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo! Search.
