Guest guest
Mike Sun Conures live anywhere from 25 to 30 yrs, Well,I have a female cat and a blind kitten and a baby kitten, and they dont bother my birds at all. They know they would get eatten by the birds! LOL I also have a African Grey,( they can live up to 80 yrs,she will be going to on of my kids!) which I think is what your friend must have? Grau has over 400 word list from sounds to actual words and sentences! The kids have a dog ,I love dogs but this one I am not crazy about. About 4 yrs ago I lost my love Chrissy, she was a Short Haired German Spaniel, had saved her from the local SPCA in Utah when she was 8 wks old ,she died at the ripe age of 26 yrs old! Broke my heart didnt ever want another dog again, but now I am thinking about getting a puppy. Ann Mike Tune wrote: Ann, Oh ok, I have never had a bird........I like cats and dogs so I never thought a bird would be a good idea. I would hate to come home to a bird that was eaten and think it was my fault...... I have a friend that has a grey........something, .............Grey is the first part of the name. He says its like one of the smartest birds out there, and that they live for like 50 years or something like that.......He loves that bird...... Again, welcome to the group, you can post pics of yourself, and I would love to see your piece of sunset..... Mike T Re: New to Group Mike. Thanks for the welcome A Sun Conure is a parrot. Guest guest
I had 2 Sun Conures, they are awesome little birds, but pretty noisy! Mine were super spoiled. They slept in a cat bed at night. My husband let one out the door by accident a year ago, and then I had to rehome the remaining one last July when I lost my job and we had to move in with my mother-in-law, who is not a bird person. Guest guest
Hi , I definitely agree with you there. We used to go every fall with friends of my wife's to Tybee Island off of Savannah and I love it down there. We went down there just before my surgery to celebrate our anniversary at a Dean's restaurant and believe me, there is no way that I could eat there now, but it surely was fun while it lasted. Guest guest
Trust me when I tell you that it was awesome, but after having my WLS, there ain't no way that I could go and eat that buffet now and get my money's worth. We have been watching that show for about five years now and it was definitely a once in a lifetime experience. The food was definitely Southern, which means it had a lot of grease, butter and most of it was fried, and I had told my dietician that I was going there for my anniversary and was not going to follow the pre-op diet at all that day, and she told me now to worry about it. Guest guest
Hehe " money's worth " at a buffet is a concept I've had to work on. I've gone to a couple of buffets, chinese I think, since surgery. I haven't gotten my money's worth in the sense that I eat only one plate instead of three (really four since it was always overflowing). But I make sure I eat the most expensive seafood and vegetables on that one plate. Besides, if the cost is $6-$10 that's not such an expensive meal for a single plate anyway. The tip is less, it's quicker and easier to get your food, etc. Buffets are still worth it, just in a different way. I'll admit it's tough to get away from quantity = value. I'm not sure what I'd do in a place like Vegas or other buffet central location though. Guest guest
The unfortunate thing about buffets is the people you are with consider it their only meal of the day. For a person who needs to eat lots of small meals a day - it can be a problem. I usually take a big purse and make a sandwich or something. I at least I have a snack for later.... Guest guest
Welcome Ciara. We can all relate. I especially know the fibro fog. It is getting worse with me as the time goes by. Bless your heart. You are so young. But we fight this damn beast one day at a time. And try not to be too hard on yourself about parenting. It certainly is not the choice you made.... none of us chose to live like this honey. And your daughter may just make some good turns in the future. I suppose even people who are not ill have some problems with teens. Don't blame yourself. I know how painful it is though emotionally as well as physically. I am 43. Was diagnosed about 5 years ago. Life has done nothing but get worse for me since then. But hey, I am hanging in there the best I can. Can't do much for my kids who are 5 and 10 years old. If not for the hubby, I don't know how I would manage. hugs to you, Debra V. ciara6 wrote: Hi everyone,i'm 39 and was dx with fibromyalgia, cfs, tmj, anxiety and panic attacks, ibs, migraines, degenerative disc disease,hypo- somnia,depression,osteo/arthritis,ALL trigger points are involved in my case!
