We’re pleased to introduce you to our improved Spanish-language website, www.segurosocial.gov, and the expanded online services available in Spanish — including the ability to apply online for retirement and Medicare benefits, completely in Spanish. This is an important step toward making Social Security’s online services and information more easily accessible to the 35 million Americans who may prefer to conduct business in Spanish.

In as little as 15 minutes, a person can apply for retirement benefits. In addition to applying for retirement benefits, visitors to www.segurosocial.gov can apply for Medicare. Applications for Medicare take as little as 10 minutes from start to finish.

There are so many things people can do at www.segurosocial.gov. They can access a wealth of information and publications written in Spanish, and get an instant, personalized estimate of future Social Security benefits using our Retirement Estimator.

Those who already receive Medicare benefits might qualify for Extra Help with prescription drug costs. The Extra Help from Social Security can save a person as much as $4,000 each year. Learn all about Extra Help and apply for it online at Social Security’s improved Spanish-language website.
