I am one of the many newbees to the group and was back reading. This post made

me very MAD. How come the dr. either wants to dope you up or accusses you of

being a doper??? The dr. i see, his answer is just more drugs no tests, no

answers, just more prescriptions. I see alot of what I am going thru in just

that one post. I have to work,have no insurence, and would like to go postal at

the dr. office. How do you find someone to help with the right amount of meds

and that you can talk to with out feeling like some sort of fake, whinny,

person.. Sorry about that this was not the intro I had planned but feel real

bad today and that post made me feel worse.

perscription. They told

All I can do for your frustration at the docs is to say that I have been there

too! I understand totally what it is like to tell the doc that something is

wrong and have them ignore you or tell you that it is all in your head! AND

THEN THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THE OFFICE VISIT!!!! I am in a small town, actually

the Kenai Peninsula is 4 times larger than Connecticut and New Hampshire put

together, but there are only about 15,000 people in about 6 communities spread

out across the land! I live in Soldotna, with about 4,000 other folks, there

are 35 docs on the Peninsula! No pain center! ON the same topic, I have been

fighting the VA (Veterans Administration) for many years, you cannot imagine the

problems there! So I do at least have some experience dealing with the idiots

in the medical field. I am not saying that all of them are dunces who don't

care, sometimes they have their hands tied by buerocracy. We have one doctor in

town who will find what is ailing you and treat it PERIOD! And there was a

doctor in the ER who actually went postal on the VA when my husband had a bad

infection, life threatening, and the VA was going to just let him die! So there

are some good ones out there, it is just hard to find them! I have yet to find

a doctor, that good one is not taking new patients, she is busy way too many

hours a day as it is !

I wish I knew the answers to this one, I think it would be good for all of us to

know this one!
