Guest guest
Hi all- I am currently undergoing transplant evaluation at NY Presbyterian as my MELD is currently a 16. I had an ERCP 2 1/2 weeks ago and have been having a hard time getting ahold of the endoscopist's APRN for the results of the brushings. I had an appt. with my hep's APRN yesterday (part of the eval process) and she said the report came back " atypical cells " . She said it didn't mean malignant, but, of course, makes me nervous. Does that mean dysplasia? I should have talked more to her about it, but my head was spinning. Does anyone know what that could mean? Should I be worried? I'm having another ERCP this Friday to remove the stent and will have brushings done within the right lobe (atypical cells found in left lobe). Thanks in advance for any input - I really appreciate it! Hugs to all - Liz Macchio 38, PSC '04 MS '
