Guest guest Posted March 7, 2008 Report Share Posted March 7, 2008 My wonderful hospital, after almost three weeks in there and three weeks out and doing physical therapy, sent me home with a huge DVT. The doctor that was assigned to me in this hospital wouldn't listen and almost killed me. I had a huge DVT that went from groin to abdomen in the inferior vena cava and could have killed me if it wasn't for the wonderful people at the health center that I go to. Of course, this ended me up in the hospital for another week and nearly broke my spirit for good. It's very dangerous. At the time I was told it could break off and either cause lung problems, brain problems, or go to the heart and kill me. I was more worried about the brain part. I figured if it was going to kill me then I wouldn't have to suffer anymore.
