Guest guest
I have seen on here that fibro can mess up eyesight, but how bad? Right now I am getting a new pair every year (that's what the insurance will pay for.) But this last pair started failing me after only 3 months. If this keeps on my glasses will be 2 inches thick in ten years. HAHA??? nope laughter doesn't help this one. I am very afraid of going blind. Can anyone give me more info on this? Thank you Doreen
Guest guest
Hi, I know what you mean about your eyesight going bad. I have very dry eyes due to Sjogren's Syndrome, that was brought on by Lupus. I was diagnosed with that in 2005. Towards the end of last year I was diagnosed with Fibromyagia and it seems like my eyes are worse. I am totally sensitive to the light. I feel like I can see at night when I drive. I have three pair of glasses. One for reading, one for driving in the daytime. And prescription sunglasses that are also driving glasses. I work in front of a computer all day, so my eyes are hurting almost all the time, some days worse than others. Ok, I've complained enough. I hope your eyes feel better soon..bye bye from Deb
Guest guest
Hi Doreen, I have really bad eyesight but it's been that way since I was a kid and it has gotten worse as I've gotten older especially lately. I am so nearsighted that if I didn't have my contacts or glasses on you'd have to lead me around. That's how bad it is. But in the last few years I've had to get reading glasses to see anything up close - which is really weird because nearsightedness means you can see up close - but now I can't without the reading glasses. And I've had to change the strength on those to a stronger prescription. So in my case, yes, mine vision seems to get worse. Can't say for sure if its fibro related or just getting old :-) - but either way, it bites. Teri (central WI) Eyesight question I have seen on here that fibro can mess up eyesight, but how bad?
