Transitions

Life is filled with many transitions. For our children with disabilities these can present as a huge obstacle. But there are ways to prepare our kids, and prepare the next environment to receive them, so that a transition can be something to look forward to instead of something we’d rather run from.

This training will encompass a variety of transitions:

• Preschool to KG

• Elementary to Middle School

• Middle to High School

• And even teacher to teacher

• From school to adult life:

• Special and Regular Diploma Options

• Continuing Education

• Employment

Strategies will be shared on how to prepare yourself, your child and their next educational setting for their arrival. Preparation is key to a successful transition.
