Unicorn Children’s Foundation is delighted to announce our partnership with Lynn University in bringing a truly unique educational conference to the community, Transitions 2011: Options Beyond High School. The conference will be held on Friday, January 28, 2011 on the Lynn University campus in Boca Raton. It is never too early to begin thinking about a child’s future. If you have a child in middle or high school that has a developmental, communication, or learning disorder or you provide academic or therapeutic support to these individuals, this is a conference not to miss! Transitions 2011 will explore options after high school for individuals affected by developmental and learning challenges. Among the highly acclaimed panel of experts, Ari Ne'eman is returning to present a self-advocacy session for teens and young adults with varying disabilities and a second session for professionals on the types of supports and accommodations that will facilitate success. A complete listing of presenters and topics for the January 28 conference is available online at www.lynn.edu/transitions. You can also receive periodic updates via the Transitions Facebook page. The Transitions Facebook page contains news, videos and discussions on our speakers as well as topics relating to the transition to higher education and learning differences.
