Thank you do you have a contact number for her... i have an IEP meeting scheduled for 2 weeks and need someone and its a big headache with the situation I'm going thru with my son... needless to say i have another daughter that is autistic and they placed her in the lowest functioning unit in her school and its driving me nuts I'm completely disgusted with my elementary and the ESE contact there...

Regla, First thing on the agenda is to get a copy of the draft they will surprise you with at the meeting. And you need enough time to review it and digest it. If all of this cannot be accomplished before the meeting, reschedule the meeting. Don't forget the tape recorder. A good Advocate will take the time to review all your paperwork including evaluations and any previous IEP's before going into the meeting.  A not so good Advocate will " wing it " and make believe he knows as much about your child as does the Team. Unfortunately winging it is dangerous to the outcome. Haste makes waste.
