Guest guest
Hello, My name is Debbie. I'm a 51 year old Valley Girl. I was born and raised in the San Valley. In 2005 I was diagnosed with Lupus/Rheumatoid Arthritis. I have been in remission for as long as I have had it and never really expierenced any pain. The only problems I had were dry eyes and very dry mouth(I wish that on no one). Then last October my son in law was killed in an auto accident on his way to work. He was only 33. He left my daughter a widow at 30 with three children. It has only been four months since it happened and it turned our lives upside down. I don't know if it was the shock and stress of his untimley death, but my body hasn't been the same since then. I thought I had the flu with a fever, body aches, and just very tired. I went to the doctor on two different days with my symptoms and was given antibiotics. Well I took a couple and the next day I felt good, so I figured it was a false alarm. Then the third time I felt achy, I thought it was time to call my Rheumatologist, maybe I was out of remission. Well he told me I had Fibromyalgia. I went home and did some research on line and then I believed him. I bought a great book called " The everything health guide to fibromyalgia " . Somedays my pain is worse, like today. Somedays I don't want to get out of bed to come to work, but I do. Now instead of seeing my daughter and grandkids once a month(she used to live two hours away). I see them four times a week(she is 10 minuets away). She needs me, and I feel I am so tired all the time. My doctor wants me to take a xanax and sleeping pill every night, but I don't. I don't want to be drugged up all the time. I only take xanas when I'm very stressed. And I take a sleeping pill when my mind is too busy and I don't want to think so much, on the nights I really need to sleep. What do you all take for pain. I'm taking 400 mgs of Motrin, it helps, but I know you shouldn't take so much of it. I only take it when I'm in severe pain. I wish you all well. I'm glad I found this sight...bye bye from Deb
