Guest guest
Hi Judy T, When my liver enzymes were way high in December my GI ordered an abdominal ultrasound with focus on the liver and associated organs area. He never mentioned it could be caused from cancer. He thought maybe somewhere in my biliary tree was blocked. The bili tree connects liver to gall bladder, pancreas and small intestine via common bile duct. I don't have a gall bladder though. My ultrasound was normal so he ordered a MRCP which focuses on the biliary tree area, also. That came back normal so then I had a HIDA scan which is nuclear med test to check the same area. That was normal also. Subsequent liver enzymes and related lab also came back normal a month later that the first lab. All those special tests were easy to tolerate. My sed rate was up too. I didn't get any answers talking to his nurse, and I googled liver ultra sound, and alot of the sites came up with liver cancer. Okay, now I'm scared!!!!! Anyone have this done? I need to ease my fears. I am on Liptor which I know can effect the liver. But I've been on it for quite some time, and my blood work has come back normal. > What else could it be that they are looking for, has anyone ever had a liver ultra sound? > Hugs all and I need one too, > Judy/WI > > > --------------------------------- > Looking for last minute shopping deals?
