Guest guest
Just wondered for those who have tried the Salonpas patches, as I did way back and worked some but don't now, have you tried Lidocaine patches, have to ask for RX, but Rheumie gave them to me, I don't find them to work if in a big big, flare, but my mom uses aslo, and NO I DID Not give them to her, for those ???, worried I am sharing, she has her own RX and she uses them with very good results. Hope those hurting find relief or let up at the least. Lighter days I hope. Sharon Angie wrote: Have you tried extra OTC meds like Naproxen and Advil for the pain? And those Salonpas patches? The max doses on them is much higher than what the bottle says. You could find max doses and go from there until you could see a doctor again. I don't want to quote max doses in case I make a mistake. But I got by on a lot of Aleve and Advil for a couple years. Guest guest
I have the lidocaine patches. They work for some pain; but not the deep pain. So the myofascial pain and the 'bone pain' they don't help. They seem to me to take longer than the Salonpas to kick in. The other plus is that you don't smell like moth balls when you wear them either. :-) Angie Harley Mama Double-D Carson City, NV; Single, five children (3 at home), 2 dogs, 4 cats, snow skiing, camping, Harley Rider, Lone Wolf, Blue Thong Society/High Sierra Thong Snappers member, LFA Advocate, independent, opinionated, outspoken, and open minded.
