Just wanted to agree with this post. If pain becomes intolerable, it is

worth giving the med's time to adjust into the body, which like Angie said

should subside once in the body at a even keel, sometimes u just have to take

little tiny doses to start, but if your pain is not that bad, and can handle it,

that is great. Only keep an open mind, I don't think most of us went right out

seeking these med's we have been taking for the pain. I had tried all the

alternatives, from PT OT massage, accupuncture that did work for a time, and now

I have had to be on meds. If you are experiencing pain and it gets bad at

times, and you aren't using something to eleviate, I believe in the long run you

are going to be in trouble down the road, because this is my problem I fought

this stupid disease tooth and nail saying it was not going to get the best of

me, refused all meds., refused to take a day off, would not give up my

independence etc. Now I am a big baby to pain, can barely

move, and NEED to take med's or could not get out of bed each day, and this is

a great accomplishment most days now. Tramadol should not give the zombie

feeling, I do know some are real sensitive to drugs, but again, it should let up

once in your system and sure beats the pain, and exhaustion that comes with

trying to deal with it most days. Hoping you all a lighter day. Sharon

Sherry,

I think you should talk to your doctor again and tell him/her what you said.

All the medications have side effects; if you are not too sick to tolerate the

pain; then good for you.

I was when I was first dx'd with Lupus. Went on for a while getting by with only

Plaquenil (an immunosuppresant). It was just a few months ago the pain got to be

too much for me.

Also, alot of the 'zombie' effect of some of the meds decreases with time.

Does Anyone NOT take RX!??? For what ever reason...side effects,

$, etc.....

I have taken a few RX given to me by my doctor. I did not like! One

made me a zombie, one made me hyperventalate( sp?). And, they were just

too much $$$$ to keep trying. Fibro Fog is enough to deal with. DO they

really the RX that is, stop the pain. I think I'd rather hurt than be a

Zombie all drugged up! What is your opion?
