I have just been diagnosed for about a month with fibro, but feel it has been coming on for a year or more. Finally, I came to the realization that I was never NOT in pain! My internist recommended a rheumatologist and she diagnosed me, however, told me there was nothing to be done. She was more concerned with my osteoarthritis. I was like...I know what arthritis pain is...this is a whole nother ball game!! I told her I had difficulty in sleeping because of the pain and she wanted me to have a sleep study done to see if I had sleep apnea...no, I have pain. So, I am in the process of trying to locate another doctor who is a bit more helpful. I have an appointment with my internist at the end of the month. I have a pretty good relationship with her, so we shall see. I also need to see my chiropractor next week. I have heard that helps. Stress is my middle name which I know isn't good with fibro. I am a Nanny and work full time. Then I get to come home to hubby and 97 year old Mother who lives with us. So, that's me.....nuttier some days than others.
