Guest guest
Norma, my daughter was diagnosed at age 10. She began with depression symptoms aroung age 7 and then I had read an article on pediatric FM which made me realize she probably had it. She was diagnosed at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. I think it is to her advantage to have the diagnosis now, because she'll always know a life where she's dealt with it. It will seem normal to her. She is doing really well right now after a difficult couple of years. She is currently not on any meds except for occasional OTC pain meds. She will sometimes take benadryl to help her sleep. In one of my past posts, I give her long FM story, if you're interested you can look for it. Jeanne in WI Jeanie, thanks for the welcome. I think your daughter is the youngest person I have ever heard with fibro. How sad for her to have such a disease at such a young age. Perhaps we will have a cure in her lifetime.
