I am currently reading " From FATIGUED TO FANTASTIC! " and 1-2-3-Pain,

both by Dr. Teitelbaum, a doctor who had FM during med school

and has done a great deal of research and education for CFS/FM. He

also has both a short and long questionnaire for tailoring a treatment

plan for the pt completing the form. He is also the Medical Dir now

for the Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Centers. The #1 issue is making sure

that we are getting 7-9 hrs of sleep, including deep level 3 & 4

sleep. We cannot heal, get enough growth hormones generating to heal,

or oxygen to our muscles to relieve our pain w/o sufficient sleep.

I had already started taking Magnesium Malate 2 tabs (Source Naturals

833mg) at bedtime, as well as 2-3 times through the day. I definitely

noticed a difference and was able to back of some of my daytime Rx

meds. Given that it has not yet caused any ill side effects or loose

stools, I'm thinking that another issue for all of us is low magnesium

and malic acid. He recommends a number of other supplements, but

donates any profits from his own supplements he/s designed to charity.

I'm interested in whether anyone has else attempted his program? Or

read his books? Feedback? Not certain if I am venturing out in

unchartered territory? Or if others have had a good experience w/his

program?? Any warnings, encouragement, or other comments??

There HAS to be some strategy that beats this CFS/FM and allows us to

reclaim our lives!!
