Sharon,

Thank you for the kind words regarding my daughter. We all seem to have rotten

luck in our family but she seems to be the worst. You might remember the

scholarship she missed out on because they screwed up her test scores. When

they figured out their screw up it was too late for the scholarship.

I hope you make some progress with your appointment tomorrow. Sometimes I do

wonder if we shouldn't just ditch all the meds and drink more. LOL..

Re: Another Crisis Angie

Hey Angie- This is all horrific for your poor daughter!, and

it must be very hard on u to have to watch her go through all the challanges,

which no teenager should have to. That is to bad the school has to be so

stringent on such a little shortage of credit!, I know my neice who is just

10yrs old missed getting on the honor roll last term, because she was absent 2

days more than allowed!, so it took away from her all A " s, that really stinks,

she has already been dealt a raw deal, born to an alcoholic Mom, has had to be

mother to her, and little brother until my brother finally got temp custody,

they weren't married so not alot of rights, the mother has grand mall seizures

from the alchohol so she now has had to see that, and it scared the heck out of

her, we got a call one night at 1AM, that is what got the ball rolling on

getting them out of her home but still is not good. But anyway back to your

daughter, I can imagine the kid

with the gun, thing, I took in a girl

once who was all messed up because her best friend killed himself that way at

school in the cafiteria right in front of her!, messed her up bad,she went all

wacky for awhile, never got counseling, except H.S, and it took her yrs to get

some stability back in her life. Your daughter should be commended by the

school and they should let her graduate understanding all she has been through,

and coming that far. I would be so proud if I were her, and telll her don't let

her it get her down. As for the ex-boyfriend he should be hung upside down from

a tree and left there a couple days for pulling something like that, what do

some think. My older son well his bro is only 11mo apart but he was more

outgoing in H.S lost a few friends to suicide, and now just lost a co-worker to

hanging himself, he had almost lost a leg in motorcylce leg, and things went

down hill from there you can probably fill in the blanks to what happened

causing the downward spin.

Anyway Angie I can not

believe you really have not had a week without something attacking your life!,

Good thing you have a good family life with your children, I love that you have

movie night and stuff, wish mine were back home so I could try and do it over

again, as I was soooo sick when they were growing up, and I know now had this

disease only kept being told it was all in my mind, etc!. Hang in there as I

think you will, you do a good job, give your daughter for a cheer for me, as she

surely is strong also,to endure that blow and just not throw in the towel like

alot would. She is doing the right thing probably relax a bit and just get it

done. Hope things lighten up for you. I am on my way to my long overdue Dr.

appt tomm. 3 hrs away, and this a.m I woke and could literally not move a

quarter of inch in incredible RT lower back, hip, pelvic pain!, I needed my

hubby to help me inch by inch, would of taken pain med and waited it out but

when I get like that I have to

change position,

and this time had to go to BR!, he suggested he get me a jug!!!, that is a Home

grown Maine man for you. lol I don't know what will happen tom. as they have

not filled out SSD papers yet because they have not seen me cuz I have been

stuck in snow up here since Oct! Take Care, and give your daughter grad's

for me. Sharon

My daughter just lost another friend last Thursday; this one to a drug

overdose. She spoke with him Wednesday and he promised her he was through with

the drugs. She'd been friends with him since 7th grade, and even though he'd

moved away they stayed in touch and he came back to visit frequently.

In addition, she found out Friday that despite all her extra activities, etc..

she would still be 1/2 credit short for graduation this June. Today she revamped

her schedule, dropped some of the extra stuff and settled in on finishing school

in October. They will allow her to walk next June; even though she will start

college in January. Since she started her junior year with only 1 1/2 credits;

she's done remarkable in catching up.

This started her freshman year when a friend put a gun in his mouth one night

and the school hushed it up and wouldn't talk about it or let the kids talk

about it. My daughter shut down and didn't pass a class after that until I moved

her to another school her Junior year.

It's been one thing after another since then that I won't even go into here.

Including the " prank " the ex bf played on her about his own death earlier this

school year. She's done very well not only catching up but excelling in all her

test scores and exit exams. She broke records at the regular high school; let

alone being the first to ever score that high at the school she is at now. She's

also in regular counseling and is managing the depression much better.

So despite the delay, I'm very proud of her. I was afraid she was pushing too

hard to try and finish this June anyway. With her new plan, she will graduate

with honors.

OK so that's where I've been focused the last few days. Needless to say I was

very worried about her shutting down again. She seems better today but I have to

keep a close eye. Unfortunately, her next counselor appt. isn't until next week,

but I might let her take mine this week (same counselor). It just never seems to

end.
