Guest guest
Hi, I have not responded to this group in a while because of my pain. finally, after 3 months, my dr is sending me to a rhematologist. I can't believe it! He just doesn't believe my pain level and won't even prescribe pain meds anymore... i have spent many a day and night crying and in terrible dispair! He even made jokes today saying that if I was a horse, he would've taken me out back and shot me by now! How do I handle the pain until then? Its soooo terrible I can't think or sleep or take care of my house or daughter? WHAT DO I DO? How come even after been diagonosed with fibro and RA can he be so cruel? How do I manage my day to day life? My husband works 70 hr weeks and have no help from family! I am truly lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a jerk to treat you that way. I hope your appointment with the rheumo is soon. Good luck and I hope you get some relief. /Mi

Souter I'm sorry to hear that your doctor doesn't take your pain seriously. I have been going two years with no pain medicine and have been unable to work for the past year. I know exactly what you mean about not being able to care for your daughter due to the pain. I have two children and I feel they too are being robbed. I cry almost everyday. My moms going with me to my next doctor app. and asking them why nothing has been done to bring me any releife. One thing I noticed about my state is that people who abuse their meds. will get pain medicine before someone like us who need it. I read all I can about what helps people get rid of their pain and everytime I read something where someone has found the a medicine that takes their pain and symptoms away I cry. I would love to feel normal. I havn't had a symptom free day in more than a year. I have been having terrible thoughts lately, but my children always encourage me to keep going. I really hope you can get some help for your pain. I understand how hard it is and these doctors have no idea what any one person feels. Remember you are the author of your pain not the doctor and sometimes they need to be reminded of that. --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Remember you are the author of your pain not the doctor and sometimes they need to be reminded of that. Hi, I think you are worse off than I am.. I have had pain meds for my pain, but the dr. just cut me off without warning.. I am so sorry to here about your struggle.. I understand how you feel and its so terrible these dr. don't go through just one day with our pain! I always tell my husband, if I could put a cord from me to you and download my pain into you like a computer, you could not handle for more than a few minutes! We have to deal with it 24/7 ! Please, try to hang in there and keep me posted! Gretchen > > > > > > > --------------------------------- > Looking for last minute shopping deals? Find them fast with Yahoo!
