Guest guest
This was a weekend full of church activities... and this morning's weigh-in shows the damage. Managed to avoid the popcorn at the movies on Friday night. I was so very pleased with myself. Saturday we were leading an all day class at church... 8am-4pm. The morning snacks were a variety of KK donuts (I was doing good just having a single bite of one donut... for me that is a major accomplishment! LoL). The lunch provided wasn't exactly low carb but I loaded up on salad and had half a sandwich. Later ate exactly 5 potato chips. Dinner at home was low carb and I drank >128oz of water during the day. Sunday morning I was up 2 pounds :-( Sunday after church was a parish lunch potluck and I did very good at eating a low carb meal (lots of ham, turkey and salad). But I lost my mind at the dessert table... to the point where I won't detail what I ate. I wound up going to the gym later in the afternoon to try and stem the tide of weight-gain... AND so I'd quit feeling like a sleepy slug! LoL Again, I drank >128oz of water during the day. This morning, the scale showed me just how damaging my actions were. I'm up over 5 pounds. why do I do this to myself? All I can do is work hard this week and vow to be BACK down to 160 in two days. I AM GOING TO DO THIS!!! -Marlena 214.5/165.2/150 _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
It will come right back off for you, Marlena. I use to do that every weekend, and took it off during the week. Now I just steadily gain, so I kicked myself back to induction. Jean 190/148.5/135 12/7/
Guest guest
WOW, surely this must be a water gain! Sounds like you may have gotten more sodium than your system is use to and caused you to retain water. Happens to me. That nasty 5 pounds will be gone in no time! Just a thought, Bad weekend :-( This was a weekend full of church activities... and this morning's weigh-in shows the damage.
Guest guest
This is why I have to be so strict and regimented when trying to LOSE weight. I am the Queen of maintaining weight ;-) But when I stray, I can all too easily gaing TEN pounds in just two measly days of eating completely off plan. Yes, I know it's water weight and yes it tends to come back off again when I get strict with myself but I hate the gain nonetheless. I spent extra time in the gym today and am being V-E-R-Y strict with my foods... I want these five pounds gone by Wednesday morning :-) Then Wednesday and Thursday I can work on losing real weight, no cheat weight. -Marlena 214.5/165.2/150 > >Reply-To: Atkins_Support_List >To: Atkins_Support_List >Subject: Re: Bad weekend :-( >Date: Mon, 22 Oct 2001 12:04:55 -0500 > >WOW, surely this must be a water gain!
