Guest guest Posted March 12, 2008 Report Share Posted March 12, 2008 I don't know where it is that you have got your SSI set up,?? , and if that is where you need to be,or where your mail is delivered, how about you go to the town, and ask to go into like what the town I am from has temerary woman's Shelter, or woman in transistion, this will set you up to put you at top of line to get emergency housing, since you are waiting for SSI .. Is this any help?, do you have anything like this avail. Or if your ex is taking you around it must cost him for meals etc. would he pay for you to stay in a rooming house, weekly motel until something goes through. Have you applied for disabled housing: I hope something comes up, better then getting beat up in a truckers life, I know my ex is an over the roader, and took a couple trips with him in nice air seated truck but still would not want to do it now in my condition. I just recently found out that the SSI detemination people had set up one last Dr. visit for me,but because I dont have a place to live,I could not stay where my Daughter put me,there was no running water,no nothing.So,my ex husband who is a over the road truck driver put me on his truck,I have been on the truck for 4 mths now,but it is killing me,I am always in pain any more,and I need a place that is stable,so I can get my SSI.I was wondering if there was anyone here who would know what to do.Thank you. Cheryl, let us know where you are from and someone may be able to be of more assistance. (do NOT worry if you are catholic or not they don/t care when you are in need!)Let them know what's going on and see what they may be able to do. 2. Call the 800# for SS and ask about the status of your case. You can actually set it up so you can go online to check as well. I would tell them that you are currently homeless, did not receive the notice, find out what has to happen to set up another appt and see if it can be semi coordinated with wherever you are!!
