We invite you to attend a free seminar entitled, "Understanding and Guiding Emotional Regulation." Hamblen is one of the co-founders of Project PACE, Inc. and PACE Place in Oregon. will present information on how to understand the student's abilities and motivation to learn through the filter of emotional regulation. Emotional regulation (e.g., tolerating frustration and confusion) is fundamental in the development of competent and independent learners. An increase in emotional regulation skills makes learning easier and more pleasant for everyone. This seminar will be appropriate for parents, educators, and other professionals who are interacting with individuals of all ages and all skill levels. is the co-creator of a unique family immersion program that coaches parents to effectively guide emotional regulation within daily living (e.g., chores, homework family down time). He has extensive experience

working with children with diagnoses of developmental delays that affect social learning (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger's Syndrome, ADD, ADHD, NVLD, PDD-NOS). With experience and training in a variety of methodologies, has a unique perspective that can be applied in educational settings. His presentation will focus on ways to improve the learners' ability to organize social information and develop meaningful relationships. He will discuss strategies that can be used at home, in the school, and in the community, helping the child gain competence in all environments.
