Guest guest
Amy, this is what I did. It seems that if you are not bleeding or have broken bones they think you are crazy. I read everything I could on fibro. After supper one night I said no one move. This is a family conference. Now at my house that was not a strange request because we have had family conferences since the kids were little. At our conferences you could say anything you wanted about what ever your problems were. Then we talked about how we could handle those problems and the best route to take. It was at those times that my son could tell just how he felt about his sister and she could not say a word till he was done. That was the law. Then we talked about the way she treated her brother and tried to find a workable plan. If you study and try to understand as best as any of us can about our disease, how it affects our body, our mind. then print some things off. Like symptoms, what can we look forward too? Pass it around. Make them part of your disease. make them. When I would lay and cry because I could not even move the blankets off my body to get up and go to the bathroom. My son said mother I hate this disease. I said why because I ask you to help me. He said no mother not at all, because of what it is doing to you and I can't stop it. that little boy grew up to be a Sergeant in the army and spent 18 months in Iraq. Who would have thought? You need to bring in your family into your disease. When they ask mom why are you so mean? Honey it is part of the disease and I am sorry if you think I am mean but I love you very much and appreciate you. Gotta get them where are most sensitive. Another thing. a little of a year ago I lost my daughter as most of you know. My husbands famous words are it is ok Norma you are sick and some day you will be well come to your senses and know that I am right. I used to be angry of that, then I thought if it gives you more comfort to think I am sick and some day I will be better because you don't want to take the truth, ok, no problem. I spend a lot of time in prayer, because people do not understand. I think that fibro is the most misunderstood disease there is. thanks for listening, Norma/Ohio **************It's Tax Time!
