Guest guest
Yes, I am so fortunate to have a hubby who does care. Sometimes I know he gets a little discouraged, but he still hangs in there. I asked him one day " Why are you still with me " and he said I married you because I love you, not because I want things to be hunkey dorey all the time " Debi...it does take a strong person to commit to another's illness. My husband still does not seem to get the whole picture though. He knows I hurt, but at times he gets a little edgy about it. He is a care taker too, so that makes a world of difference. And loves to clean the house and do dishes.. did I mention he loves to IRON? but he draws the line with my ironing...so I wear wrinkled around the house...or struggle to iron my own ...which I seldom do. LOL. Can't sit at Ironing board table...lol Thank you Debi, for warm welcome to your group. I have had to fire two rheumies because they could not find answers to my illness. I think they were just impatient and did not want to treat me since I am on MEDICARE DISABILITY and they would not get much money for treating me..The third one dx'd it but she told me all I needed was vitamins...well...she forgot that I have IBS and I cannot take a lot of things into my stomach. HELLO!! lol!! I will comment as I go along reading emails... Sometimes I am just silent...hope everyone understands that...I have to read and re read sometimes...I have cognitive issues so it takes a while to put together what people say. I am so glad to be here..and to know that I am not alone with my pain. And Pain as has become my friend. It never lets me down. It is always there for me..the one friend I wish that would just disappear. LOL Love Faithy -- Re: NEWBIE Hi, Faith and welcome to the group. You have a very loving husband, if he is retiring to take care of you. My last one couldn't handle the fibro, so he left me. You will find a lot of support here and information about how we deal with the fibro. Don't be afraid to ask us questions.
